So, it would seem that learning new songs is a good thing. Having said that…
Do you enjoy singing? Do you like to learn new songs? Would you like to help incorporate new songs into our worship assemblies?
If this is you, I’d like to hear from you. At some point in the week, other than on Sunday or Wednesday, I’d like to get some people together who enjoy singing and like to learn new songs that we can then incorporate into our worship assemblies.
As soon as we know who is interested in participating, we will meet and figure out the best location (either the church building or someone’s house), the best evening and best time so that as many as possible can get together.
Some may be asking the all-important question, “Why?” Fair question. Most people don’t like it when the song leader leads an unfamiliar song. And if it is unfamiliar not just to them, but to pretty much everyone else...it’s even more uncomfortable.
By having a time where, hopefully, a good number of our members come together and learn the song before hand we can eliminate the uncomfortable feelings of the audience and even the song leader leading a “new” song.
Another question that some may have is do I have to be a “good” singer to come? Also a fair question. The answer is an emphatic NO! You just have to want to be there, want to sing, want to learn new songs, and want to praise God.
