Students get to dress in strange ways to go to school (well, stranger than they usually dress anyway).
On Friday there will be a parade. This year the parade will follow a different route than in years past, so be sure that you know the new route before you grab your traditional spot.
There will be a very important football game on Friday night. As it turns out, the band will be presenting the first half of their show at halftime, FYI.
There will also be a whole host of people who come home for Homecoming. They may only make it back once a year, and, if so, this is it!
This will be a great time of renewing old acquaintances and, possibly, forming new friendships. What a great weekend it will be!
One day there will be another Homecoming celebration. Nobody knows when it will be...so we just need to be prepared for when it happens. Of course I’m speaking of Christ’s return.
There will not be a bunch of festivities and parades leading up to it...no signs that will tell us it is about to happen; it will just happen!
If we are prepared, then we will experience a fantastic homecoming. We will see friends and loved ones who have gone on before and be reunited with them.
But most importantly, we will see Jesus face to face and be with the Lord forever.
Are you prepared for Homecoming? If not, please do what ever it takes to get prepared today.
May the Lord speed that glorious day!!
