Apparently what is/was happening is that when an email is sent to, say, firstname.lastname@example.org it is pointed to a specific “mx record” for Cox, who is our Internet service provider and supplies all of our email addresses. Then Cox delivers it to the appropriate e-mailbox. For some reason unknown to, apparently, everyone, the “mx record” was not pointing to the right place, so the email never reached its intended destination.
Also apparently, it takes an act of congress to redirect the “mx record” to the right place (never mind that somehow it was changed from the right place to a wrong place without anybody knowingly doing anything). Since the emails that were sent were not pointed to the right place, they can never get to the right place.
In John 14:6, Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” I thought about this verse as I was on hold this week
There are some places in the religious world that claim to be pointing people to Jesus. In reality, though, their “mx record” has been changed and, unfortunately, those who follow them will not reach their intended destination.
Fortunately we have the Bible to help us point back to right way to the Father. And we have such easy access to the instructions: we just have to pick it up and read!
The only way we can safely arrive at our intended destination is to follow Jesus and His instructions as they are found in the Bible. Is your spiritual “mx record” pointing you in the right direction?
